Effective on 26 June 2025, eligibility and application conditions are as follows:-
a. death charity donation given is as much as RM2,400.
b. for death charity, only heirs registered with this Cooperative can apply by including the death certificate of the member concerned.
c. contributions to members performing Umrah or Hajj are amended to contributions to members who go abroad.
i. the maximum donation amount is RM1,800 and it is given only once a lifetime.
ii. members who have received Umrah or Hajj donations before, if abroad, are eligible to apply for donations again but the maximum amount of the second
donation is subject to the following:-
a. if the first donation is given when the maximum amount that can be applied for from the fund is RM600 then it is eligible to apply for a
second donation with a maximum amount of RM1,200.
b. if the first contribution is given when the maximum amount that can be requested from the fund is RM1,000 then it is eligible to apply
for a second contribution with a maximum amount of RM800.
c. if the first donation is given when the maximum amount that can be requested from the fund is RM1,500 then it is eligible to apply for
a second donation with a maximum amount of RM300.
iii. the application must be accompanied by documents confirming that the member has traveled abroad as well as receipts for travel expenses abroad.
iv. the contribution amount is limited to the maximum amount or travel expenses, whichever is lower.
d. for hospitalized members:-
i. contribution payment of RM600 per day is eligible to apply. The maximum claim amount is limited to RM1,800 per year.
ii. for donations to be hospitalized, the member must write and include a hospital document showing that he has been hospitalized as an in-patient for the
consideration of the Cooperative Board Members, and the decision of the Cooperative Board Members is final.
e. legal heirs for members who have received hospital donations are also eligible to apply for death charity when the member dies.
f. for each type of contribution, applications must be submitted within 3 months from the date of the event (hospitalization/death/overseas) where late applications
will not be entertained.
g. Members of the Cooperative Board from the current time, if the financial situation of the Cooperative allows, can withdraw any form of assistance from this fund to
members who have banking information where the amount of assistance will be determined according to the appropriateness and current financial ability. For
members who have not yet sent their banking information, they are eligible to apply for assistance that has been approved by the Cooperative Board Member with
the condition that the application must be made within three (3) months by attaching the banking information.
If the allocation for this contribution has been used up then the applicant will have to wait for the allocation for the following year, if any and members whose membership has been suspended, are allowed to apply late but must not be more than thirty (30) days from the date their membership is restored.
